Social Security Administration (SSA)
The federal VA system offers benefits to veterans. Aid and Attendance Program is a benefit available to veterans, their spouses, or widows to help offset some of the cost of nursing homes, assisted living and personal care in the home. This federal agency acts as a hub of all government aging services and provides a network of state and area agencies on aging.
